So with all of the chaos this summer, I totally missed Jocelyn Cahill Photography’s 3rd birthday! Soooo much has changed in the past 3 years! I’ve been constantly trying new things, learning new techniques, making some awesome friends, and I feel like my work is constantly growing and evolving! I think that’s one of the best things about doing what I do, every day has the opportunity for me to learn something new, anything that I can incorporate into a session or editing workflow. But all of the time and energy I put into this business wouldn’t mean much without my amazing clients! Some of you have been with me since day 1, others just within the past year. Either way it’s such a great feeling knowing that you all trust me and love my work enough to choose me as your photographer! So thank you all for 3 amazing years, and here’s to many more to come!
Here’s just a few images from the most recent session I finished. Not quite on the same day as my 3 year anniversary, but close enough 🙂
Lindsay and Kevin adopted precious little Aubree earlier this month and I’m so glad I had the chance to meet their new little one! She is such a sweetheart! She was full of smiles for me, and she has the cutest, chunkiest, cheeks ever! Aubree couldn’t have gotten more loving parents <3
Hello! First, let me start by saying, I’m still new to this whole blogging thing, so bear with me through these next few months as I figure this out and finish up my new site…
I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine’s Day weekend! Now that the holiday is over, and many significant others were surprised with the gift of beautiful boudoir photos from their special lady, I can finally share a few of the images I was able to capture during our mini sessions! We started off these sessions with a little wine while these beautiful ladies were pampered by the very talented Linley Kirian doing hair and makeup…and then the photo fun began! I keep my boudoir sessions elegant, and classy, while allowing you to show your sexy and fierce side. As nervous as my clients usually are beforehand, they always end the session saying how much fun they had and how beautiful and comfortable they felt! And for me, that’s the best feeling in the world!
For the past 2 years I have offered boudoir sessions on one mini session day (which usually involves a massive snow storm), but I have gotten so much interest in these that I am going to start offering a boudoir package year round! I can’t tell you how excited I am to start offering special packages just for boudoir!!
We had A LOT of fun with this years mini sessions despite all of the hiccups with the weather and location changes, so without further ado, here’s just some of the gorgeousness from a couple weeks ago 🙂
Ohh boy, look at me! I’m blogging! Who would have thought, at 27 years old I’d feel so behind the times. Next step might be to actually use my Instagram and Twitter! One step at a time though. Anyways, I’m already getting off topic here. As many of you who follow me on Facebook know, 2014 was a pretty hectic year for me. We sold our house, moved in with my parents for a bit, bought a new house, and had a baby all in the span of about 3 months. But the entire year felt super hectic just preparing for everything we had going on. Plus having a miserable pregnancy full of morning sickness on top of that. I took a giant step back from my business just as I felt like I was really starting to go somewhere. So now as we’re in the beginning of 2015, and my life is starting to calm down (as calm as it can be with 2 three year olds and a three month old) I feel like it’s time to jump back into it with some fresh ideas. So, welcome to my new website! It’s still a work in progress and has a lot of stuff missing, but it’s new, and fresh, and I feel like it’s just what JCP needed! I’m also planning an overhaul on my packages, which is coming soon! But the one thing that I am most excited about… is doing more styled shoots. I’ve always had all of these ideas and visions in my head for every session I book, but it’s almost impossible to predict how a little one is going to feel about these plans. So I’ve slowly been stocking up on props and cutesy kid items, boutique dresses, and such, things that most kids won’t be able to resist, and my plan is to start incorporating those more into my sessions. Now that I actually have a decent size studio space, I can really let my creative juices flow! I have big plans for 2015, and I hope you all can join me 🙂
